Description The Great Owl is a hand-cut paper artwork inspired by the mystery and power of the great horned owl. Created in 2022, this piece is carefully cut by hand using an X-Acto knife and built from five layers of premium 300 GSM colored card stock.

The top layer features Indonesian hand-pulped paper, a unique material made with visible natural fibers. These fibers create a beautiful organic texture and give the artwork a one-of-a-kind surface.

Owls have always fascinated me. Their silent flight, sharp vision, and ability to hunt in darkness make them incredible creatures. Their calm presence and mysterious gaze have inspired stories and symbols throughout history.

The Great Owl is my tribute to this remarkable woodland predator. Through the process of hand-cut paper, I wanted to capture the owl’s strength, intelligence, and quiet beauty while showing the craftsmanship behind every cut and layer.
